This is a customisable itinerary to provide you with a start point and suggestions for your travel plans. Day 1 International outbound flight

Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Calgary. Upon arrival in Calgary, take a coach transfer from the airport to Banff. The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey.

Day 2 Banff

Awake amid the splendour of Canada's Rocky Mountains. Join a small-group guided walking tour into the mountains. Your guide will tell you all about the flora, fauna, geology and history of this spectacular landscape. The rest of the day is free to discover the pretty little town of Banff.

Day 3 Jasper

Take a private transfer from Banff to Jasper. You will travel along Icefields Parkway, one of Canada's most scenic highways, and there will be time to stop along the way to take in various walking trails and waterfalls. Don't miss a visit to beautiful Lake Louise and Bow or Peyto lakes.

Day 4 Jasper

Discover the beauty of Jasper National Park by motorcycle today as you join a guided motorcycle sidecar tour. There are many scenic highlights to visit, including Maligne Canyon and the Athabasca River. This evening join a small-group guided wildlife tour; do keep a look out for bears, moose, elk and bighorn sheep.

Day 5 Kamloops

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train for the first day of your journey west to Vancouver. Sit back and relax as your train hosts point out all the scenic highlights along the way. Arrive in Kamloops for an overnight stay.

Day 6 Vancouver

Re-join the Rocky Mountaineer for the second day of your journey to Vancouver. Today you will pass the great rivers and canyons of British Columbia's Cariboo region. Upon arrival in Vancouver, transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 7 Vancouver

Spend the day exploring beautiful Vancouver. You may wish to visit the totem poles of Stanley Park, bustling Chinatown, Gastown's steam clock, Canada Place and Granville Island. There is plenty to see and do this afternoon, including the VanDusen Botanical Gardens, Grouse Mountain, Vancouver Art Gallery or simply browse the shops or indulge in some of the city's excellent restaurants and nightlife.

Day 8 Vancouver

The morning is free to continue discovering Vancouver then, this afternoon, embark on board your Celebrity Cruises ship bound for Alaska. Relax on board once you have settled into your cabin. Your ship offers a wide range of facilities and all your meals are included.

Day 9 Vancouver

Today you will cruise through Canada's magnificent Inside Passage en route to Alaska. The scenery here is dramatic with steep-sided mountains, deep fjords and verdant rainforests. Between admiring the scenery you may wish to take advantage of the swimming pool, spa, fitness centre as well as the many bar and entertainment options. There is also an excellent selection of dining options to choose from.

Day 10 Vancouver

Arrive in Alaska at Icy Strait Point today where you may wish to go whale watching or learn about the local Tinglit tribal customs. Look for whales and bald eagles from the deck as you take in views of the mountain scenery.

Day 11 Vancouver

Your ship arrives at the Hubbard Glacier which is the largest calving glacier in North America. Watch in awe and listen to the immense crash as, hopefully, you witness huge chunks of ice plunging into the sea.

Day 12 Vancouver

Arrive in Juneau, Alaska's capital. There is plenty to see and do from here, including visiting the beautiful Mendenhall Glacier, taking a gondola to the summit of Mount Roberts, sea kayaking, whale watching or taking a thrilling light aircraft flight.

Day 13 Vancouver

Today you will arrive in Ketchikan which is the gateway to the pristine Misty Fjords National Monument. The options for exploring include kayaking in the fjord, taking a guided hike, or looking for bears and porpoises on optional guided trips.

Day 14 Vancouver

Cruise south through Canada's Inside Passage. After admiring the towering mountains you may wish to relax in the spa, browse in the library or shops, try your luck in the casino or simply choose where to dine and which shows to attend this evening.

Day 15 International return flight

Arrive back in Vancouver where, after breakfast, it is time to disembark at the end of your cruise. Make your way to Vancouver Airport to board your onward flight.

Day 16 International return flight

Arrive home today to complete your journey.
