The Caruso family purchased the property in the late 1800s and within years it was attracting guests from all over the globe, drawn by its idyllic location and luxurious surroundings.

Regular guests included Greta Garbo, Humphrey Bogart and Jackie Kennedy. Part of the famous Belmond Hotel Group, it is located high up in the heart of Ravello, with breath-taking views of the Amalfi coastline and the Mediterranean. The 50 bedrooms are all beautifully decorated. The outdoor swimming pool, poolside restaurant and bar and the ‘Belvedere’ restaurant are all located in the wonderful landscaped gardens at the front of the hotel. The ‘Caruso’ gastronomic restaurant also has wondrous views of the garden and the coast from its summer terrace.
