91 spacious and contemporary villas, set along the beachfront or on stilts above the lagoon. The traditional Maldivian exteriors belie the contemporary flair of the interiors, marrying natural tones and tactile, organic textures with whitewashed walls and mid-century-inspired furniture. One, two and three bedroom options ensure that couples and families are equally well served, and most villas have a private pool, along with an oversized bathtub and outdoor rain shower. In-villa amenities include flatscreen satellite TV, WiFi, entertainment system, tea/coffee making facilities, air conditioning, mini bar and in-room safe.

The Market is a laid-back feet-in-the-send venue for relaxed breakfasts and dinners, while Drift cooks up flavoursome curries and succulent seafood. Bottega adds a contemporary twist to traditional Italian recipes - don’t miss the sourdough pizzas! – and Sip & Sand offers charcoal-grilled meats by day, switching to sushi and sashimi as the sun goes down. For drinks, try the rooftop Sunset Point, with light bites, cocktails and an in-house DJ, or The Point, with its Spanish-inspired tapas menu and wine bar.

Kanuhura has one of the largest beaches in the Maldives, along with a free-form pool just steps from the shore, and a striking circular infinity pool at The Point on the northern tip of the island. The Six Senses Spa has 8 treatment rooms, including one couples’ suite, plus a yoga pavilion, gym and nail bar. There are two deserted islands where you can enjoy a romantic castaway picnic, and the resort lays on special occasions including movie nights under the stars. Grow with Six Senses is a complimentary kids’ programme for children aged 3-11 yrs, with creative and educational activities such as treasure hunts, kids’ yoga and art using recycled materials. The whole family can get involved in watersports lessons, cookery classes and guided snorkelling trips, and there is also a teens’ club and games room. Other activities include scuba diving, sunset dolphin cruises, tennis and squash.
